We treat a refund request as a useful signal, not a fight. If Receiptio isn't right for you, we'll refund you — no questions, no support gauntlet, no “are you sure” loops. This page explains the details, including your statutory rights in the EU/EEA/UK.
1. Our Position
A refund means someone we charged wasn't getting enough value back. That's information worth having and worth respecting. Our default answer is yes.
2. The 3-Day Free Trial
Every Receiptio account starts with a 3-day free trial. We collect your payment method when you start the trial, but we do not charge you during the trial. Your card is only billed if you do not cancel before the end of day 3.
You can cancel at any time during the trial from your account settings — cancelling during the trial means no charge. We also send a reminder email approximately 24 hours before the trial ends so you can decide. If you forgot to cancel and were charged anyway, see Section 5.
3. EU / EEA / UK Statutory 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
If you are a consumer in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, you have 14 days from the start of a paid subscription to withdraw from the contract and receive a full refund, without giving a reason.
Because Receiptio is digital content provided immediately, by starting a paid subscription you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that your statutory right of withdrawal may be limited once the service has been fully performed during the withdrawal period. In practice, we will still refund you in full on request within the cooling-off window.
4. Beyond the Cooling-Off Period
We extend the same friendly stance well beyond statutory rights:
- Monthly plans: full refund of your most recent payment within 30 days, no questions asked.
- Annual plans: pro-rated refund for the unused portion within 60 days, no questions asked. After 60 days we still consider requests on a case-by-case basis and lean generous.
- Accidental charges: if you cancelled but were billed by mistake, contact us — we refund immediately.
5. Forgot to Cancel Before the Trial Ended
This is the most common refund case, and it is the easiest one. If your trial converted to a paid subscription and you didn't mean for that to happen, email us within 30 days of the charge and we will refund it in full — no questions, no support gauntlet.
6. How to Request a Refund
There is no form to fill out and no questionnaire. Use whichever is easier:
- Email support@receiptio.com from the address on your account.
- Click “Get a refund” in your in-app billing settings.
Include your account email and, if available, the invoice number. That's it.
7. Processing Time
Refunds are issued to your original payment method. Most clear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card network. We do not add delays on our end.
8. What This Policy Does Not Cover
- Add-on credits or third-party services purchased through us (we currently do not bundle any).
- Accounts terminated for serious violations of our Terms and Conditions (such as fraud, abuse, or illegal activity).
- Chargebacks initiated through your bank or card issuer without first contacting us — those are handled by the payment network's own process.
9. Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in this Policy limits any right or remedy you have under applicable consumer-protection law. If anything here conflicts with a mandatory legal right, the legal right wins.
